Im really impressed by this app and its developer. For the serious musician, it is money well spent. Know youll also need to invest some time to learn the app.
I bought PolyNome last summer, used it for one day, and then it collected dust for the next five months. There are so many options that it was hard to get my head around how it works.
With that said, I watched several of the instruction videos over earlier this week and started using it again with the playlist feature. I downloaded the "reducing click" playlist and love it. Over bars it strips away subdivision until youre playing without the click to test your time. Stuff like this is amazingly helpful for practice and can be fun to set up.
I love how involved the developer is. This is clearly his baby and he treats it as an artistic expression. That is an amazing gift in an app.
Id encourage user interface improvements and overall design improvements to help make the app more intuitive. For example, I wonder if there is a better design and implementation for the mixer. Touch targets are small and feel jumbled up.
Last, I love that the developer has created an opportunity to share playlists and practice techniques with an online community. That is awesome. I hope to add some of the things I create and contribute.
Thanks to the developer for creating the app you want and love! I love supporting and using apps like yours!
